Question
What is the lift speed of my Ingersoll Rand Pneumatic Balancer?
Environment
For Customers and Distributors who are trying to determine how fast a load will be lifted (in inches per sec) for a pneumatic balancer to ensure it meets the requirements of an application.
Answer
The general specification for Lift Speed for Ingersoll Rand's Pneumatic Balancers is 40 in./sec @ 50% load and 100 PSI pressure. The Lowering Speed is adjustable at the manifold.
Please note that there are a variety of factors that might influence the actual Lift Speed for a specific application, such as load, available dynamic air pressure, air flow, other tools/balancers/equipment operating simultaneously on the same air line, etc.
As load increases and/or available air pressure/flow decreases, lift speed will decrease from the above general baseline specification.
