This article summarizes the Three-Year limited Warranty for E‑LIFT™ Series Electric Chain Hoists (EVLK) and E‑LIFT Electric Intelligent Balancers.
Important: This article is a summary only. The applicable written limited-warranty policy controls if there is any difference. Warranty coverage described here applies to the Americas; coverage in other regions may differ.
Warranty Coverage
Ingersoll Rand warrants to the original user that E‑LIFT Series equipment purchased from an authorized seller will be free from defects in material and workmanship for three years from the date of purchase.
Covered equipment includes:
- EVLK Series E‑LIFT Electric Chain Hoists
- E‑LIFT Electric Intelligent Balancers
- Applicable upper and lower suspension configurations
- Applicable mounting options
Proof of purchase, such as the customer’s invoice or other acceptable documentation, is required.
What Ingersoll Rand May Do
If covered equipment is found to have a defect in material or workmanship during the original warranty period, Ingersoll Rand may, at its option:
- Repair the equipment without charge, including replacement parts and standard repair labor
- Replace the defective equipment
- Refund the purchase price, less a reasonable allowance for depreciation, in exchange for the equipment
Any repaired or replacement equipment is covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.
How to Request Warranty Service
If you believe your E‑LIFT equipment has a covered defect:
- Stop using the equipment if continued operation could create a safety concern.
- Contact an Authorized Service Distributor.
- Provide proof of purchase or warranty-registration documentation.
- Return the equipment transportation prepaid, if instructed to do so.
- Follow the distributor’s instructions for inspection, repair, or replacement.
Conditions for Coverage
Warranty coverage depends on operating, inspecting, testing, and maintaining the equipment according to the applicable Ingersoll Rand manuals, instructions, and recommended service practices.

What Is Not Covered
This limited warranty does not cover equipment that Ingersoll Rand determines has been:
- Misused or abused
- Improperly installed, operated, inspected, repaired, modified, or maintained
- Repaired using non-genuine Ingersoll Rand parts
- Repaired by an unauthorized service provider
The warranty also does not cover normal wear and tear, including wear components such as:
- Load chain
- Hooks
- Brake-friction materials
- Seals
- Lubricants
- Contactors
- Other consumable or wear components
Coverage does not include travel expenses, field-service charges, rigging costs, equipment rental, removal and reinstallation costs, or production downtime unless Ingersoll Rand authorizes them in writing.
Equipment purchased from an unauthorized seller is not covered unless otherwise required by law.
